My wife and I contracted with Scott Raley to represent us for the sale of our building. Our building was a mixed use property consisting of both residential and commercial space. Marketing this type of building is problematic since many buyers are not comfortable serving as landlords to both residential tenants and business leaders. During the time our property was for sale there were ups and downs, including the attempted purchase by two different parties who turned out to not be qualified for the loans. Despite the set-backs and limited market for our property, Scott persevered and through some creative solutions via the Small Business Administration he was able to get us into contract with a legitimate buyer. Our building closed on October 25, 2006, with a price that was satisfactory to both parties. We feel many other realtors might have lost interest, but Mr. Raley was diligent and supportive throughout the process. I personally knew Scott from back to 1991 as a customer at my business, and have been impressed with his honesty and unassuming manner. He had to deal with some difficult prospective buyers over the months our place was on the market and I can say for certain that he was far more patient than I would have been had the roles been reversed.
